Since before 9/11, Sandy has brought a message of inspiration entitled “Get Ready - Change is Coming!” Ever since Sandy began her spiritual journey she has learned the value of changing her paradigm, embracing the storms of life, allowing her experiences to build character and take her higher to a quality of life she would never have experienced otherwise. Having a near death experience in 1990 when a “would be killer” slit her throat and left her in her driveway was an event that would teach Sandy a wealth of knowledge about life’s conditions and how to withstand. Now, Sandy and her beloved city, New Orleans, face the storm of a lifetime...Katrina.
Sandy is trained and prepared for such a time as this. With inspiring words from the book of Isaiah, Sandy has written songs pertaining to “rebuilding the ancient ruins”. ...”You are my witnesses”...”Breaking Free!” With this horrific disaster comes an opportunity of a lifetime to “help other people excel”. People of Purpose is a team of people who are helping to feed the hungry, helping provide places for the homeless, and giving physical and spiritual help to victims of Katrina. We are knocked down but not defeated! We will rebuild the ancient ruins, bind up the broken hearted, and help people get a new start. Our home is a refuge to hurting people, our hands are helping clean up the mess and rebuild our great city - bringing hope to a city of despair.
